As a parent, you never stop worrying about your kids.

I'm the mom of three daughters who have graduated from college.  They all live and work in NYC now.  My role in their life has changed, and I don't see them as often as I'd like to, but they're still a big part of my life.  They always will be.

I graduated from Yale College and Yale Law School.  As a high achiever, my stress showed up as migraines, stomach aches, and fatigue.  After my three daughters were born, I left the legal world and became a certified health coach.  I wanted to focus on how to live a healthy and less-stressed life.

It wasn't until my daughters were in college that I discovered my true calling. I watched my daughters experience common freshman challenges like feeling overwhelmed and lonely.  I listened; I was empathetic; I made suggestions when asked, and I made sure they knew I would always be there to support them.

I also saw their friends suffering with stress, anxiety, and feeling overwhelmed.  I realized that many students didn't know how to handle the stresses of college and didn't want to ask for help.

Other moms started reaching out to me to support their kids in college.  I loved working with students and seeing how implementing new habits would quickly improve whatever issue was causing their stress.  That's when Crush College Stress was born.

Now I work with students before they start college, as well as during college. I believe your child can be successful in college.  The habits and skills they need to function well on a college campus, without you by their side, are simple to learn.  The hard part is staying motivated to implement them.

For most students, having a third-party coach works much better than having their own parent coach them.  I am their mentor, accountability buddy, cheerleader, and coach.

Dale Troy with Dog

I would love to work with your child and help them gain the skills and the confidence to succeed in college.

On the personal side, I’m a huge dog lover. I’m the person who stops strangers on the street to take a picture of their dogs.

I care about dogs, I care about kids, and I care about making a difference in the lives of my clients.

If you'd like to speak with me privately about how I can support your child, then let's talk.

Here’s what we’ll achieve together:

  • I’ll help you identify the habits and skills your child needs to achieve their goals.
  • We’ll create a tailored action plan your student can follow for college success.
  • We’ll explore how I can support your child, whether that’s coaching with me, or help from another expert.
